Manual Therapy
There are many tools your physical therapist can use to promote recovery. Manual therapy encompasses several techniques in which your therapist uses their hands to manipulate the joints and/or tissues of your body to progress recovery.

At our clinic we use:
Myofascial release
Muscle energy techniques
Soft tissue mobilizations
Joint mobilizations
Stretching
Dynamic and Static Taping
Cupping
Scraping
Functional dry needling
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a technique used to help decrease pain and muscle tension. No medicine goes in and nothing is taken out. Dry needling uses a thin monofilament needle that looks similar to an acupuncture needle to stimulate the underlying tissues and muscles. This stimulation acts a "reset button" to help correct the dysfunctional pattern that an unhealthy muscle and the underlying tissues have developed.
Dry needling has shown to be a very effective tool in recovery and pain reduction.
